A Single System. A Unified Story. A Stronger School.
The CSM School Data System gives you a complete, mission-aligned approach for understanding your school, its effectiveness, and its impact—from every stakeholder, in every season.
Each Suite consists of specialized instruments designed specifically for the unique mission of Christian schools, crafted to generate clear, actionable data. Whether you are seeking deeper insight into teaching quality, family satisfaction, enrollment drivers, child / teen community, faculty culture, or Board effectiveness, this system gives you the full picture you need to lead with wisdom.
The CSM Data System scales to your needs, moving seamlessly from granular classroom insights to an enterprise-level view of school-wide health. The System is comprised of three primary Suites:
- School Climate
- Teacher Practice
- School Leadership
You can choose individual Suites or the entire System. You can use all the tools within each Suite or a selection of tools. Control is in your hands. The purchase price gives you access to the Suite/s chosen for a year so that you can time data collection for when it is most useful to you. Once onboarding is complete (1st year only), the system is designed to be run independently by you and controlled by you e.g. when you administer surveys, distribution, running reports etc. CSM is always on hand to help, of course.
Why Schools Choose CSM Surveys
“The experience was seamless, and we received no negative feedback from students. In fact, one student even mentioned enjoying it. Staff found it straightforward and easy to complete. We especially appreciated the more direct focus on student and employee experience.”
Michael Treadwell, Head of School, South City Community School, MO
The CSM Data System is designed as an integrated system, not just a set of questionnaires. Each of the three Suites within the System contributes a distinct perspective that, together, provides leaders a clear and coherent understanding of the school’s health. Nonetheless, each Suite provides meaningful and useable data on its own.
Access for a Year: Purchase of a Suite provides 12 months of access empowering the school to utilize the instruments when they are most useful.
Mission-Focused: Every instrument is rooted in the belief that data is a stewardship responsibility that strengthens the school’s ability to deliver the mission with excellence.
Comprehensive by Design: The System includes many, many distinct instruments to capture every major stakeholder voice—children/teens, parents, teachers, administrators, Board, and alumni—providing a full 360° picture of school effectiveness and mission alignment.
Research–Driven: Questions are grounded in the latest research and established best practice both in content and design and are aligned with CSM’s experience and practice within Christian schools.
Independent Third-Party Administration: Surveys are administered through CSM’s secure web platform, with configuration, access controls, and reporting managed independently of the school. This preserves respondent anonymity, safeguards data integrity, and strengthens trust among families, teachers/staff, children/teens, administrators, and Boards.
Customizable: The Suites can be used independently of one another, giving schools flexibility to assess school climate, teacher practice, governance, or all three. They provide numerous ways for administrators to adjust the Suites to school priorities and needs. Surveys support the addition of school-specific questions to address local needs.
Detailed Information: Survey data is presented in a variety of forms allowing for analysis at both the domain and individual question level. Administrators will see the mean, standard deviation, polarization, and outliers.
Built-In Benchmarking and Longitudinal Tracking: Compare your results year over year and against the wider CSM aggregate norms without spreadsheets or manual setup.
Actionable Results: Clear dashboards, practical recommendations, and benchmarks that support leadership, board governance, and continuous improvement.
Community-Building: When your stakeholders feel heard, trust grows—and trust builds enrollment stability, culture health, and stronger outcomes.
Personalized Consultation: CSM consultants can provide analysis, leadership interpretation, and practical recommendations based on your survey data. This assists you in turning your survey results into actionable plans aligned with mission and strategic priorities.
The CSM Data System is not about more data—it is about better judgment. It is intentionally slow to judge, careful in its claims, and disciplined in its design. It assumes that Christian schools deserve systems that are as thoughtful as the moral and spiritual work they are trying to do. It prioritizes truthfulness over convention, coherence over novelty, and stewardship over convenience. By integrating stakeholder voice, professional insight, and mission clarity, schools gain the confidence to act wisely, communicate clearly, and steward carefully from generation to generation.
